About Pinpoint
I'm Austin D. Williams, founder of Pinpoint. I help businesses make clearer marketing decisions and connect the work needed to carry them out. I lead strategy and client relationships directly, bringing in trusted specialists when a project needs additional expertise.
I'm not here to sell you marketing. I'm here to help you buy it right.
Pinpoint is a practice, not a traditional agency.
I've spent more than thirteen years in local media and agency-side marketing, including Google and Meta advertising. That's a long time to watch how businesses buy marketing, and how often it goes sideways even when everyone involved is trying hard.
A lot of business owners have dollars spread across radio, digital, boosted posts, sponsorships and agency retainers, with no clear view of how the pieces work together. Budget goes out. Reports come back. Nobody owns what happens next.
Pinpoint is built to be the opposite of that. I learn the business before a dollar moves, I start with what you're already spending, and I stay accountable for what happens after launch.

How I think about the work
A few things hold true on every engagement, whatever the service or the size of the budget.

Your current spend comes first
I audit what you're already spending and find the dollars that aren't working, before I ever ask for new ones.
A click is not a sale
Reporting is built around calls, forms, bookings and sales, and it's honest about what the data can and can't show.
The recommendation follows the business case
Sometimes that means a new channel. Sometimes it means fixing the website first, keeping what already works, or spending less.
You'll hear it straight
If Pinpoint isn't the right fit, I'll tell you early rather than three months in. You'll always know who owns the strategy and who to call.
Where Pinpoint is based, and where it works
Pinpoint is based in Lee's Summit, in the Kansas City area, and I work with companies across the country and around the world, including campaigns I've run internationally. For businesses close to home, local marketing starts with knowing who you need to reach and how far they're likely to travel, and that's easier to get right when the market isn't an abstraction to you.
Local roots. Clients well beyond them.
I know this market. It's home base.
Who I work best with
Pinpoint isn't for everyone, and it's better for both of us to know that early.
- Business owners and small marketing teams, locally, nationally or internationally
- Businesses already investing in advertising that want a clearer view of what it's producing
- Owners who want to be part of the decisions and are willing to look at the numbers
- Teams with the patience to give new work a fair learning period
I also work with nonprofits, attractions and cultural institutions, and specialty retail and powersports businesses.
Probably a better fit elsewhere
- The cheapest or fastest option is the main priority
- A national launch that needs a large team working in parallel
- Round the clock coverage across multiple time zones
If that's your situation, say so in our first conversation. I'll tell you straight, and point you somewhere better suited if I can. For a closer look at how Pinpoint is structured, see Why Pinpoint.
Questions about working with me
Is Pinpoint just you?
I lead the strategy and the relationship on every engagement, and I do the majority of the execution. I bring in trusted specialists for specific production work, and you will always know who is involved.
What did you do before Pinpoint?
More than thirteen years in local media and agency-side marketing, including Google and Meta advertising. The career figures on this page come from that work, not from Pinpoint alone.
Can I see examples of your work?
Client work appears on this site only after the client approves it, so you won't find names or results here yet. In a conversation, I'm happy to walk through how I'd approach a situation like yours, without sharing anything a client hasn't agreed to.
What happens after I reach out?
I read your message myself and follow up to understand the business, where things stand today and what the right next step might be.
Let's talk about your business
Tell me what's working, what's unclear and what you'd like to improve. We'll start there.
